French Silver Verriere

A decorative French silvered verriere or rafraichissoire. These were made for placing stemmed glasses in ice to chill them prior to serving wine or champagne. Now that we have fridges to chill our wine, these remain a gorgeous piece of table decoration! I use mine for serving sliced baguette with dinner.
