Large Italian Torchere Candlestick

An exceptional, large Italian carved limewood ‘torchere’ (candlestick) with its original silver gilding in outstanding condition. Stepped baluster form with carved scrolling detail, raised on a trefoil base terminating in three scroll feet. A top quality example, being fully carved and gilded on all three sides.
